Edgeways Productions Radio

Inspired by Radio David Byrne this is a system similar to that. Once a month I will post a new mp3 stream with a theme. Broadcast will generally last about 90 minuets. Check back each month for a new installment.

I stream at 64kpbs, which is at the high end for dial up, and low end for broadband.

May 2006

Just in time for May Day is an hour and half-ish of protest music. Mostly new protest music, but there is a song or two from the olden days.

This list was inspired from a few different sources. 1) I don't think enough protest music is diseminated nowadays, and 2) On his LJ page a friend of mine mentioned "...as much as I detest hip hop..." which made me think. I too, dislike hip hop, but it was primarly a music of protest when it first started, and there is much of that kind of rap I actually DO like (911 is a joke in your town). So there is one or two hip-hop songs included in part to see what he (Hi Ameer) says about that.

If you have suggestions for future web streams please drop me a line.
